CSIS Major Requirements: Computer Science Option
Students pursuing the CSIS computer science option must take the following courses in addition to the Fort Lewis College general education requirements. Individual CSIS courses are described on the Courses page.
CSIS Core:
- CSIS 110 Introduction to Programming in Java
- CSIS 210 Data Structures
- CSIS 305 Discrete Structures
- CSIS 321 Computer Architecture and Organization
- CSIS 360 Sofware Engineering 1: Systems Analysis
- CSIS 370 Sofware Engineering 2: Systems Design
- CSIS 421 Operating Systems
- CSIS 496 Senior Seminar
The following Auxiliary courses:
- Math 201 Elementary Statistics
- Math 221 Calculus I
- Math 222 Calculus I or Math 311 Matrices and Linear Algebra
- Comp 252 Professional and Technical Writing
Plus four additional upper level CSIS courses chosen with approval of the CSIS faculty.
