MISSION STATEMENT:
The mission
of the Small Business Development Center at Fort Lewis College
is to be the premier provider of small business assistance,
training, information, and leadership in activities which foster
the successful growth and development of small businesses in
southwest Colorado.
ORGANIZATION PROFILE:
The SBDC located at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado, provides assistance to
all existing small businesses and others who need help in
developing their ideas. The territory served by this location
includes: Archuleta County, Dolores County, La
Plata County, Montezuma County, San Juan County, Southern Ute
Indian Tribe, and Ute Mountain Ute Indian Tribe.
SBDC DIRECTOR:
Joe Keck is the Director of the SBDC. Mr. Keck has owned
and operated small businesses for more than ten years and prior
to that worked in a planning and economic development capacity
with the Ute Mountain Ute and Southern Ute Indian Tribes for
fifteen years.
