The management focus on a business administration degree is the cornerstone of our School of Business Administration. We prepare you with a broad base of knowledge, giving you flexibility in your business career.

But why come here for a management degree? There is no other program like Fort Lewis'. We focus purely on undergraduate students in the heart of a public liberal arts college.

A liberal arts program complements your business education, teaching you how to seek out and create new information, to think critically, identify problems no one else has seen before and to propose solutions. You'll also work in the field, connect with the community on research projects and even study abroad. These are hallmarks of our liberal arts program.

The Business Administration major with the management option prepares students for responsible supervisory and management positions in all types of organizations: business, government and non-profit. Students become familiar with the opportunities and processes of management as they develop skills in planning, organizing, leading and controlling.

Students in management are introduced to the process of acquiring and using financial, human and physical resources in the pursuit of organizational objectives. Interpersonal relations, leadership and decision-making are emphasized.
